Skin improvements that may result from a series of peels:

How often will I need to do a peel?

This may vary but generally a peel is recommended to be done once a month. One skin cycle is about 28 days, so this is the most frequent a peel should be done. In rare circumstances it may be a bit shorter. A longer period may be recommended if your skin is a bit sensitive. The repetitive nature of peels is what brings about their positive effects.

How fast will I see an improvement?

You will see an immediate difference in radiance immediately after a peel. Acne prone skin will see an improvement within 1-2 months. Deeper textural changes will take multiple peels. Noticeable improvements are seen in all clients within 3 months of monthly peels being started.

Can anyone be treated with chemical peels?

Almost anyone can be treated with a peel. Most skin types and shades can successfully be rejuvenated with chemical peels. A consultation with the Doctor will be best to see if chemical peels can benefit you. See the list below for possible problem situations.

Is there much “down time” after a chemical peel?

This depends largely on the type and strength of peel used. Mostly there is little or no down time. You are able to go directly back to work after a peel. Your skin may be mildly red and irritated but this will settle quickly. If more down time is to be expected the Doctor will discuss this with you beforehand.

Are there different types of chemical peels?
